Women's Equality Day Celebration
"Ballots, Babes, & Beer"
This year the Coalition is happy to invite two speakers for our annual Women's Equality Day celebration. Deborah Fandrei, Curator of the Raupp Museum in Buffalo Grove will present BALLOTS, BABES AND BEER -- a look at the women's suffrage movement from an Illinois perspective.
Katherine Hamilton-Smith, Director of Lake County Discovery Museum, will present postcards from that era from the Curt Teich Postcard Archives.
The event is FREE to Coalition members and their friends, however reservations are required. Contact your Coalition liaison to save your spot or call Debbie Larker at 847-362-8885.
The event will take place at Robert Morris University, 1507 Waukegan Road in Waukegan (just south of Rt. 120 Belvidere Road). Registration is at 6 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. The only refreshments will be water so please plan accordingly.
