Our keynote speaker, Leslie Goddard, is widely known for her riveting portrayals of notable women of history. She will present, "Clara Barton, Civil War Battlefield Nurse." This living-history program brings to life the story of Barton's wartime work, including her decision to provide care for soldiers and her experiences working at battlefield hospitals. This year’s honorees are Lake County Women who have provided healing and promoted hope through their contributions or active service during current or past national health crises. Healing is the personal experience of transcending suffering and transforming it to wholeness. The gift of hope spreads light to the lives of others and reflects s a belief in one’s unlimited possibilities.
